Shute is situated in an idyllic, secluded setting within the beautiful, wooded Teign Valley, a mile from The Dartmoor National Park and within easy access of Devon’s South Coast beaches.

The house nestles amongst rolling hills in an area of outstanding natural beauty. It is a 5 minute stroll from the historic village of Doddiscombsleigh with its famous, award-winning pub 'The Nobody Inn' and only 8 miles from the cathedral city of Exeter with its mainline station, access to the M5 motorway, and busy airport.
Shute is a 15th century, thatched, Grade II listed Devon longhouse. It stands in 5 acres of sunny gardens, woodland and meadows with stream, which you are welcome to explore during your stay. Shute offers two large, stylish, double bedrooms, each with their own private bathroom and a self-contained, private family room in a recently converted (late 2008) barn conversion.

The rooms overlook unspoilt wooded countryside and meadows doused in birdsong.
